There has been some progress on the first building of the Basecamp Apartments and it is expected to be online in September, according to Kurt Soukup of Range Development.

At that point, tenants can start to move into the 24-unit complex. The first building has an even mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. There are 120 people on a wait list so demand is expected to be high.

I also outlined how this project will generate residential tax for the Montrose Urban Renewal Authority. I provide a look at the estimated amount the project could generate at different market values.

What are your thoughts on this project? How do you think it could help the rental market here in Montrose?
