I wrote about what happened during Tuesday's city council meeting this week. A few key points:
- City council approved a fireworks permit, one of two steps necessary for the annual fireworks show to take place. Pending a last-minute decision to nix the event due to weather concerns, the show is a go on July 4.
- The city issued an immigrant proclamation at the start of the meeting. John Arenas, a librarian with the Montrose Regional Library, spoke to the importance of the proclamation, which I highlighted.
- City Engineer Scott Murphy made it a point to note the changes made to the phasing for the Waterfall Canyon development. It addresses concerns citizens expressed to the city.
Are there any developments or trends you think the city should discuss in a future meeting? Let me know by posting in the comments down below. I'll let you know what I have heard or what the latest is on each subject.
