Hi friends, I hope your Tuesday is winding down nicely. As I sift through the many street construction updates lighting up our city, I wanted to share an update on the SE water transmission line project. Yesterday afternoon I sat down with Civil Engineer Ryan Cushenan, who's also project manager for many of the projects we see throughout Montrose, for a comprehensive update on our city's street work.
After work paused in the spring due to pipe delivery delays, work resumed at Hill and Congress Streets yesterday to install a 24-inch water diameter water transmission line stretching from the intersection of 6800 and Sunnyside Roads south to the intersection of East Oak Grove and 6700 Roads. Work along this section is expected to end by the end of September!
As such, we can expect intermittent closures and detours through the work area as crews progress through the project. Traffic detours will be installed this week. You can read my full update here.
