Montrose continues to have a “high” transmission rate based on  the CDC’s rating system (there’s a link next to the map that shows how it’s calculated -- I’ve also included that information below). It’s also notable that most counties in the United States are considered in the “high” region.

Montrose Memorial Hospital is caring for 7 patients with COVID-19. In the last 7-day period (as in Sept. 20 to Sept. 26), Montrose County saw a 35% increase in cases compared to the previous 7-day period.

Additionally, the COVID-19 Dashboard for Montrose County School District now shows 87 confirmed cases. The last time I reported this information (just 5 days ago), there were 77 confirmed cases.

Lastly, 53.1% of Montrose County has received at least one shot of the vaccine, just over a 1 percent increase from the last 7-day period.

Do you have any questions about this data? Are there any other COVID-19 concerns or topics you want addressed?
