Following a review of the case and the body camera footage earlier this year, 7th District Attorney Seth Ryan has decided not to press charges against the deputy who shot and killed a woman who was driving toward him while he was on foot.

The D.A. said his office cannot disprove self-defense and cannot meet the burden of proof necessary to bring criminal charges.

Protesters could be seen outside the press conference where the announcement was made.
