In 2020, 318 less students showed up to class in Montrose County School District compared to 2019. The school district says the change is COVID-related, and stems from a host of changes parents might be making.
For instance, parents may have switched their kids to homeschooling, to a private school, or to any online public school program in the state, which Colorado does allow.
