Hey NABURs! I wrote a story a week or so ago about why gas prices are higher around the state — much of it has to do with the ongoing war in Ukraine and the disruptions to the global supply chains. I've noticed that prices around town have dropped off just slightly since we published that story, but they're still much higher than before the conflict started.
I recently read this story from Popular Mechanics about how to improve gas mileage. One thing that stood out to me is that turning on the A/C is indeed more fuel efficient than rolling down the windows. This wasn't always the case, but cars built within past few decades have changed so the A/C does not burden engines like before.
How have higher gas prices affected you, if at all? Have you been changing any of your habits?
