Just because indoor dining is back open doesn’t mean you have to stop enjoying craft cocktails and beer at home. Governor Polis signed a bill earlier this week that allows the to-go alcohol industry that popped up over the pandemic to stay in place until July 1, 2025.

The only restriction will be the quantity allowed to be purchased by one person: 12 beers, two bottles of wine and one liter of spirits.

Staff Writer Josue Perez explores the different restaurants in Montrose that have prospered from to-go alcohol service over the last year — and that will now be able to make it a more permanent feature of their business.

Will you keep ordering to-go alcohol even with bars and restaurants open? Do you think the new law will genuinely help small businesses?
